The Incheon Human Rights Film Festival (INHURIFF), which was created in 1996, upholds the freedom of expression as its core value. It sees the basic right to create a society where differences are not discriminated against, where the voices of social minorities are heard, and where humans can live in a different world as fundamental human rights.

The festival has the goal of spreading human rights awareness. It focuses on shedding light on the reality of human rights suppression due to differences, powerlessness, resistance to capital and authority, and highlights the lives and resistance of those fighting for human rights and a different world. The festival aims to foster shared reflections on the question of how humans should live on this land for true coexistence.

The Incheon Human Rights Film Festival strives to discover alternative films that promote coexistence among humans and highlight the fights to secure human rights. The festival avoids films created solely for commercial purposes and prioritizes those that respect various cultures, contributing to coexistence and fair representation of other cultures.

The Human Rights Film Festival rejects the way in which culture and art are consumed for profit and upholds the principle of free screenings to provide an inclusive space for everyone. The festival refuses corporate sponsorship that may compromise human rights for profit and prevents capital from infiltrating the festival.
