Director Yoon Ga-eun, who helmed the film 'The World of Love', has been selected to receive the Women In Film Awards, the Korean Women Filmmakers Network announced on the 9th.

Women In Film Awards honor female film professionals who have delivered notable achievements over the course of the year.

The organization praised Director Yoon for creating a moment of lasting significance in Korean cinema through 'The World of Love', which was released last October.

'The World of Love' tells the story of Jooin, an 18-year-old high school student (played by Seo Soo-bin), who begins receiving mysterious notes after she alone refuses to participate in a school-wide petition opposing the release of a convicted sex offender.

The Achievement Award goes to Shim Jae-myung, CEO of Myung Films. A first-generation female producer in Korean cinema, Shim has produced films such as 'Contact', 'Waikiki Brothers', and 'Joint Security Area JSA', and was recognized for establishing a stable production system and contributing to the founding of the Korean Women Filmmakers Network.

The Acting Award is presented to Han Ye-ri for 'One Spring Night', while the Best New Actress Award goes to Seo Soo-bin for her performance in 'The World of Love'.

The Directing Award is awarded to Lee Ran-hee for 'The Final Semester', and the Screenplay Award goes to Lim Namoo for 'People and Meat'. Jang So-jeong, CEO of Dorothy Film, which produced 'People and Meat', receives the Producer Award.

The Kang Soo-yeon Award, presented to individuals who have contributed to the development of Korean cinema regardless of gender, is awarded this year to actor Yoo Ji-tae for his efforts in expanding the reach of independent film.

The 2025 Women in Film Awards Ceremony will be held on the 16th at IndieSpace in Seoul, hosted by actress Moon So-ri.
